Quick note, more drum updates

May 21, 2009

I noticed that people keep asking about or searching for the password to the 1.01 version of MIDItar Hero… it’s a test version that’s not ready for download yet, so just download the normal version without the password.

The main thing I’m working on right now is adding more support for drum kits – velocity sensitivity and the RB add-on cymbals. However, there’s still setups that aren’t completely supported yet. Here’s the current status of everything:

Windows:
360 GH Drums √ (full support)
360 RB Drums — (need velocity, add-on cymbals, pedal port)
PS3 GH Drums X (need all values)
PS3 RB Drums — (need velocity, add-on cymbals, pedal port)
Wii GH Drums X (no drivers yet)
Wii RB Drums — (need velocity, add-on cymbals, pedal port)

Mac:
360 GH Drums √ (full support)
360 RB Drums — (need velocity, add-on cymbals, pedal port)
PS3 GH Drums X (need all values)
PS3 RB Drums √ (full support)
Wii GH Drums X (no drivers yet)
Wii RB Drums — (need velocity)

MIDItar Hero v1.0 now available

April 7, 2009

MIDItar Hero v1.0 is now up for download on the Downloads page.
Please be sure to download the README file as well, because it’s the only form of documentation with the program now.
The README explains all of the new features and controls in the new version.

Just as a reminder – if you like MIDItar Hero and want to help support the program:

Test version for MH 1.0 now available

March 31, 2009

The test version of MIDItar Hero 1.0 is now available on the Download page.
If you want to volunteer to test the new version of MH, please leave a comment on this post or send an email to miditarhero@gmail.com with the subject “MIDItar Hero testing” and include your name and email.
I’ll email you back with the password to download both the MIDItar Hero v1.0b.mxf file and the MIDItar Hero Help.pdf file. Make sure you read the Help file first – it’s very detailed and has full instructions on new options and controls.
By volunteering to test MH, you also agree to fill out the brief survey included in the email. It’ll help me to improve MH in the future.
Thanks,
– Brian
